By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Write a reproducible bug prompt.
  • Ask for meaningful tests, not shallow existence checks.
  • Require regression verification.

Lesson Content

A bug report needs symptom, expected behavior, actual behavior, steps to reproduce, affected environment, and test command. If the bug touches access, payment, privacy, or security, the prompt should also ask for negative tests.

Claude Code can help write tests, but students must define what behavior matters. "Add tests" is weaker than "add tests proving a free user cannot access paid lesson content and a paid user can."
