Lesson Content

Claude Code can load project instructions and memory-like context at the start of a session. This is useful when a project has rules that should survive across tasks: coding standards, folder ownership, test commands, release naming, files not to touch, and how to report results.

The danger is instruction clutter. If every emotional note, abandoned idea, or one-off experiment becomes permanent context, future sessions become noisy and expensive. Good memory hygiene means storing durable rules clearly and keeping temporary task details in the current conversation or handoff notes.
