Lesson Content

AI tools can expose risk when users paste private information, follow malicious instructions, or trust generated content too quickly. Privacy and security are not only IT concerns. They are daily work habits.

Avoid pasting sensitive material unless the workflow is approved for that data. Examples include private account records, medical details, financial records, student records, login secrets, customer lists, legal documents, confidential business plans, and private messages.

Prompt injection is a manipulation attempt where text inside a document, website, email, or pasted content tries to override the user's real instructions. A safe workflow treats outside content as material to analyze, not as instructions to obey.
