  • Ask for a summary of messy notes.
  • Ask for a rewrite by tone, audience, or length.

Lesson Content

Plain-language view: drafting means "help me start." Summarizing means "help me see what matters." Rewriting means "help me say this better." These three skills cover a large amount of everyday business work.

Drafting example: Write a polite follow-up email to a vendor about an overdue quote.

Summarizing example: Summarize these meeting notes into decisions, open questions, and next actions.

Rewriting example: Rewrite this customer message so it is shorter, calmer, and clearer.

Do not ask the AI to be perfect on the first try. Ask it to make a first version, then improve it.
