Lesson 2: Start a Safe Business Chat

  • Separate safe practice data from sensitive business data.
  • Start a chat with task, context, and output format.
  • Ask the AI to mark unknown facts.

Lesson Content

Plain-language view: before you hand a note to anyone, ask "would I be comfortable if this note were seen by the wrong person?" If the answer is no, do not paste it into a general AI chat for practice.

Safe practice data can include fictional customer names, placeholder numbers, public website copy, generic business descriptions, non-sensitive product notes, or a message you rewrite after removing private facts.

Start with this pattern:

Task: Help me with [business task].

Context: Here is the safe background you may use: [non-sensitive facts].

Output: Return [email, checklist, table, summary, plan].

Unknowns: If a fact is missing, write "unknown" instead of guessing.
