Lesson Content
A professional AI workflow is not "let the AI do it." It is a division of labor.
AI is strongest at producing drafts, variations, summaries, classifications, patterns, test cases, and structured options. Humans remain responsible for goals, ethics, taste, authority, relationships, legal commitments, financial decisions, medical decisions, safety decisions, and final accountability.
A useful human-in-the-loop design answers:
What may AI draft or analyze?
What must a human approve before use?
What claims need external verification?
What data must not be shared?
What output format makes review easier?
What failure modes should trigger restart or escalation?
Approval gates are especially important when using tools, connected apps, local files, or agentic work. If AI can affect files, code, customers, payments, publishing, or business decisions, the workflow needs permission boundaries and review steps.
