Creating Your First Avatar Video

Lesson 3: Generating, Reviewing, and Downloading Video

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Initiate video generation from a completed project configuration
  • Review generated video output for common quality issues
  • Request regeneration for sections needing correction
  • Download and share the completed video

Lesson Content

Initiating generation.

Once the avatar, script, voice, background, and layout are configured, generation produces the final video. Generation time varies by video length and current platform load. Verify the current generation process and any queuing behavior at heygen.com.

Reviewing output for quality.

Watch the generated video in full before downloading or distributing. Common issues to check: lip-sync alignment between the avatar's mouth and the spoken script, unnatural pauses or pacing in the delivery, script elements that were mispronounced, and visual elements (text overlays, logo placement) appearing as configured.

Requesting regeneration or edits.

If issues are found, edit the relevant script text or settings in the project and regenerate – either the full video or specific scenes where available. For minor script pronunciation issues, adjusting the script text (using phonetic spelling or punctuation to influence pacing) and regenerating the affected segment is typically more efficient than regenerating the entire video.

Downloading and sharing.

Generated videos can be downloaded in available quality settings or shared directly via platform-generated links depending on the plan. Verify current download format options and sharing capabilities at heygen.com, as these vary by tier.
