Lesson Content
The main dashboard.
The HeyGen dashboard provides an overview of your projects and quick access to creating a new video. Key areas typically include: a project list or gallery showing recent and saved videos, navigation to templates and avatar libraries, and access to account and workspace settings. Verify the current exact layout at heygen.com, as the interface is actively updated.
The video editor workspace.
The video editor is where videos are assembled – selecting an avatar, entering or pasting a script, choosing a voice, and configuring layout and background. The editor typically provides a scene-based structure for multi-scene videos and a preview mechanism to check output before final generation. Specific controls and their placement vary with platform updates.
The avatar library.
HeyGen maintains a library of available stock avatars for use in videos, ranging in presentation style, demographic representation, and setting. This library is accessed during video creation or directly to browse available options. Verify the current library size and filter options at heygen.com.
Templates and project management.
Templates provide pre-configured layouts for common video types, which can be customized rather than building from scratch each time. Project management allows organizing, naming, and revisiting saved projects for editing or regeneration. Using clear naming conventions for projects improves navigability as a project library grows.
