Text to Vector Graphic (accessed through Illustrator or via Firefly web – verify current access points at adobe.com) generates vector SVG graphics from text descriptions. Unlike raster image generation, vector output is scalable without quality loss – making generated assets appropriate for icon design, illustration elements, logo mark concepts, and other design applications requiring scalable assets. Generated vectors can be opened and edited in Illustrator.

Effective prompts for icon and graphic generation.

Vector graphic prompts work best with: clear subject description (what the icon or graphic should depict); style specification (flat design, line art, filled illustration, minimal geometric); level of detail appropriate for the use case (icons require simplicity; illustrations allow more detail); and any color or treatment direction. Example icon prompt: "a simple flat design icon of a house with a smart device signal emitting, minimal geometric style, two-color blue and white."
