Lesson Content
Account setup.
ElevenLabs requires an account to generate voice audio. Plans typically vary by monthly character/credit allowance, available voices, and whether voice cloning features are included. Verify current plan tiers at elevenlabs.io/pricing, as these change over time.
The text-to-speech interface.
The core interface includes: a text input area (where the script to be voiced is entered), a voice selection panel (choosing from the voice library or a cloned voice), and generation/playback controls for reviewing the resulting audio.
Character/credit limits.
Most platforms, including ElevenLabs, meter usage by character count of input text, with monthly limits tied to subscription tier. Understanding this limit helps plan production volume appropriately for the relevant plan.
Locating generated audio.
Generated audio clips are typically saved to a project history or library, allowing the user to revisit, re-download, or reference past generations rather than needing to regenerate identical content.
