Getting Started with Meta AI

Lesson 4: Your First Week with Meta AI – Quick Wins and Safe Habits

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Complete five quick, low-risk Meta AI tasks in the apps they already use.
  • Choose one-on-one chats for anything personal.
  • Verify answers that affect health, money, or other people.

Lesson Content

Meta AI is designed for quick, in-the-moment help inside apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and the Meta AI app. That convenience is its strength and its risk.

Five good first tasks:

  1. Rewrite a message so it sounds clearer or kinder.
  2. Brainstorm captions or gift ideas.
  3. Summarize a long article you paste (not private documents).
  4. Plan a simple schedule or packing list.
  5. Create a fun image with Imagine for a personal post.

Three safe habits:

  • Personal topics only in one-on-one chats with Meta AI, without sensitive details.
  • Check facts that affect health, money, safety, or other people.
  • Before using any share or post option in the Meta AI app, check whether it would make your conversation or image visible to others.
