Talking Photos and Podcast-to-Video
Lesson 3: The Video Extender and Face Swap Tools
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Describe what the Video Extender tool does and when to use it
- Describe what the Face Swap tool does and its primary use cases
- Identify the ethical and policy constraints on Face Swap usage
- Know where to find current documentation for both tools
Lesson Content
The Video Extender.
Video Extender uses AI to extend the duration of an existing video – adding additional content or naturally extending the ending beyond the original clip length.
Primary use cases:
- Extending a short generated clip to meet a minimum platform length requirement
- Adding buffer time at the end of a video to allow subtitles to finish
- Creating a longer version of a video for a different platform from a shorter original
Verify current Video Extender capabilities and usage at jogg.ai/knowledge-base/video-extender/.
Review extended output before distribution.
AI-extended video may produce artifacts at the extension boundary or generate visually inconsistent content in the added portion. Always preview the extended output before use.
The Face Swap tool.
Face Swap replaces faces in an existing video with a different face. The most documented use cases are:
- Placing your own face into a template video or stock footage
- Creating engaging social media content by substituting faces
- The novelty "Talking Baby" format (replacing a presenter's face with a baby face for the Podcast-to-Video baby podcast format)
Verify current Face Swap capabilities and limitations at jogg.ai/knowledge-base/face-swap/.
Ethical and policy constraints on Face Swap.
Face Swap is a high-responsibility tool. Apply strict standards:
- Consent: Only swap in the face of a person who has explicitly consented to their likeness being used in the output video
- Context: Do not use Face Swap to place someone's face in a video that misrepresents their views, actions, or statements
- Platform policies: Most social media platforms prohibit non-consensual deepfakes and misleading AI-manipulated video
- Legal exposure: Non-consensual face swap of real individuals is illegal in multiple jurisdictions
- Jogg.ai policy: Verify current content policy on Face Swap at jogg.ai – the tool includes restrictions on prohibited uses
The responsible use of Face Swap is limited to: your own face, faces of individuals who have explicitly consented, and clearly labeled satirical or entertainment contexts that cannot reasonably mislead audiences.
