Lesson Content
What voice cloning does.
Voice cloning captures your vocal timbre, tone, speech patterns, and pacing from a recording and creates an AI voice model that can deliver any text in your voice. Once cloned, you never need to record yourself reading a script again – your voice clone does it.
Recording preparation for voice cloning.
The quality of the clone is tied directly to the quality of the source recording.
Environment:
- Quiet room with minimal background noise and echo
- Hard surfaces (tile, glass) create echo – soft surfaces (carpet, curtains, furniture) are better
- No fan, air conditioning, or traffic noise in the background
Recording setup:
- Microphone close to your mouth (8-12 inches) – a headset or dedicated microphone
- Record at a comfortable, natural speaking pace – do not perform or over-articulate
- Jogg.ai provides a toggle to reduce background noise during upload – use it if your environment is imperfect but not disruptive
Recording content:
- Read naturally for at least 1-2 minutes (Jogg.ai may generate with less, but more recording produces better quality)
- Vary your natural tone – do not speak in a flat monotone
- Read content similar in style to the scripts you will generate (conversational for conversational content, professional for formal content)
The cloning workflow.
- Navigate to the Voice section and select Clone Your Own Voice
- Record directly in the platform or upload a prepared audio file
- Toggle background noise reduction if needed
- Submit the recording
- The clone generates – this is typically fast (seconds to minutes)
- Preview the clone with a short test script
- Save to your voice library with a clear name
Deploying a cloned voice.
A cloned voice appears in your personal voice library and can be selected in any Jogg.ai video project – exactly like a stock voice. Pair it with any avatar, including your custom avatar, for full audio-visual brand consistency.
Voice clone independence.
A cloned voice can be paired with:
- Any stock avatar from the library
- Your custom Photo Avatar
- Your Video Clone avatar
This independence is useful: if you want your voice on a polished AvatarX presenter for professional content, or your voice on your own likeness for personal brand content – both are one selection away.
