Lesson Content
What the Video Clone does.
Video Clone creates a high-fidelity AI avatar based on a recording of the subject. Jogg.ai analyzes the footage to capture: exact facial structure and proportions, eye shape and movement patterns, micro-expressions and natural gestures, speaking rhythm and head movement.
The result is an avatar that looks and moves like the original subject – not a generic presenter but a digital likeness of a specific person. This is the highest-fidelity custom avatar method.
Recording requirements for a strong clone.
The quality of the clone is directly determined by the recording quality. Best practices:
Environment:
- Quiet location with no background noise
- Even, diffused lighting on the face – ring light or softbox recommended
- Clean, simple background (plain wall, neutral backdrop)
- No backlighting (windows behind you degrade facial capture)
Recording setup:
- Camera or smartphone at eye level – not angled up or down significantly
- Subject positioned 3-4 feet from the camera
- Face centered in frame with headroom above
During recording:
- Speak naturally – expressively but not exaggeratedly
- Vary expression naturally during recording (smile, serious, quizzical) to expand the clone's expression range
- Maintain consistent eye contact with the camera
- Record at least 2-3 minutes of footage for quality capture
The cloning process.
- Navigate to Custom Avatar -> Video Upload or Create Video Clone
- Upload the recording
- Jogg.ai processes and generates the avatar (processing time varies)
- Review the result – check for any facial distortions, expression inconsistencies, or artifacts
- Save to your avatar library with a clear, identifiable name
Pairing with voice cloning.
For maximum brand and personal consistency, pair your video clone avatar with a cloned version of your voice. The result: a digital presenter who looks like you, sounds like you, and can deliver any script you write – without requiring you to record each time.
Voice cloning is covered in full in Course 6. Complete voice cloning as a separate step after the video avatar is created.
