- Explain why avatar selection should be intentional rather than default
Lesson Content
The avatar library overview.
Jogg.ai provides a large library of pre-built AI avatars – verify the current count at jogg.ai/knowledge-base/public-avatar/ as it expands regularly. Avatars are filtered and organized by multiple dimensions to help creators find appropriate presenters quickly.
Filtering dimensions.
- Age range: From young adult to mature professional
- Ethnicity and appearance: Diverse representation across backgrounds and features
- Presentation style / setting: Business professional, casual, outdoor, educational, fashion, news broadcaster, medical/clinical, cartoon
- Gender presentation: Filter by gender presentation of the avatar
How to use the preview feature.
Before committing to an avatar for a project, use the preview function to see the avatar in motion. Static thumbnails do not fully represent how an avatar looks when speaking. Preview before selecting – especially for client work or brand-sensitive content.
Avatar selection strategy.
Default selection (clicking the first avatar that looks acceptable) produces generic results. Intentional selection starts with the audience and platform:
- B2B product demo for LinkedIn -> Business setting, professional presentation
- Casual lifestyle product for TikTok -> Casual setting, approachable, age-appropriate for audience
- Training video for corporate onboarding -> Business or educational setting, neutral and authoritative
- Medical or health content -> Medical/clinical setting where available (verify AI avatar rules for health claims)
- Social media content for a younger audience -> Casual or fashion setting, age-matched to audience
Cultural and demographic considerations.
Avatar selection can signal inclusivity or exclusivity to an audience. When creating content for a specific demographic, choose an avatar that reflects or is appropriate for that audience. When in doubt, choose a professional setting avatar with neutral presentation.
