Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Identify approximate credit costs for different Jogg.ai actions
  • Monitor their current credit balance
  • Know the difference between plan credits, bonus credits, and pay-as-you-go top-ups

Lesson Content

What credits are.

Jogg.ai uses a credit system rather than charging per video. Credits are a consumption currency – you spend them to generate content, and you earn them through your subscription. Different actions consume different fractional amounts.

Approximate credit consumption rates.

These rates are approximate and subject to change – verify current rates at jogg.ai/knowledge-base/credit-system/:

  • Generating a new video: approximately 1 credit
  • Re-editing an existing video: approximately 0.4 credits
  • Generating a photo or image asset: approximately 0.2 credits

This means your monthly credit allocation goes further if you refine existing videos rather than regenerating from scratch every time. A student with 200 monthly credits can generate roughly 200 new videos, or generate 100 new videos and perform 250 re-edits on them.

How credits are allocated.

  • Monthly plans: credits renew monthly
  • Annual plans: credits for the full year are allocated upfront
  • Upgrading plans: unused credits carry forward or are refunded (verify current policy)
  • Downgrading or cancelling: verify current policy for how unused credits are handled

Monitoring your credit balance.

Your current credit balance is visible in your account dashboard. Check it before starting large batch projects or high-volume production runs. Running out of credits mid-project pauses generation until credits are renewed or topped up.

Pay-as-you-go top-ups.

For plans that support it (verify current availability), additional credits can be purchased as needed rather than upgrading to a higher plan tier. This is useful for occasional high-volume projects that temporarily exceed your monthly allocation.

Credit refund policy.

Jogg.ai's refund policy does not typically refund used credits – payments are generally non-refundable once generation has occurred. Verify the current refund and cancellation policy before purchasing or topping up.
