By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Write prompts using all five structural components fluently
- Apply context and constraints to eliminate the most common causes of poor prompts
- Request and receive structured output in any format they need
- Surface Copilot's assumptions and redirect conversations that have gone off course
- Check Microsoft Copilot output for accuracy, privacy, and rights before you use or share it
After enrolling, students can complete lesson quizzes as they move through the course.
The course final assessment unlocks after all required lessons and lesson quizzes are complete.
Learning Context
Students learn the structural principles behind effective Copilot prompts – the five-component anatomy, context and constraints, structured output formats, and assumption-surfacing techniques – building the skill that underpins every advanced Copilot workflow.
How this course works: each lesson explains the skill in plain language, shows a worked example, and ends with a student task you complete in Microsoft Copilot and a short quiz. The final assessment checks that you can apply the skill, not just remember it, and your saved prompts and results become reviewable training evidence.
