Gemini / Google

Course overview

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • Explain what Gemini is and how it differs from a search engine and from other AI tools
  • Describe how prompts are processed and why context matters at a technical level
  • Explain what real-time web access means for Gemini's accuracy and what verification is still required
  • Identify Gemini's multimodal capabilities and when to use them
  • Check Gemini output for accuracy, privacy, and rights before you use or share it

After enrolling, students can complete lesson quizzes as they move through the course.

The course final assessment unlocks after all required lessons and lesson quizzes are complete.

Learning Context

Students build the foundational mental model needed to use Gemini intelligently – understanding what it is, how it processes information, what its real-time web access means in practice, and how to verify its outputs responsibly.

How this course works: each lesson explains the skill in plain language, shows a worked example, and ends with a student task you complete in Gemini and a short quiz. The final assessment checks that you can apply the skill, not just remember it, and your saved prompts and results become reviewable training evidence.
