Claude as a Review and QA Partner

Lesson 4: Build a Personal Quality-Check System

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Combine targeted review, confidence flags, and human checkpoints into one quality-check system.
  • Choose the right level of review for each type of work.
  • Test the system on real work and improve it.

Lesson Content

A personal quality-check system has three layers:

Layer 1: Self-review with Claude. Ask for targeted review (unsupported claims, logic gaps, unclear wording, tone) with quoted evidence.

Layer 2: Risk flags. Ask Claude to mark specific numbers, citations, current rules, and anything high-stakes. Verify those yourself in original sources.

Layer 3: Human checkpoints. Anything legal, medical, financial, safety-related, or affecting a person's job or money goes to a qualified person before use.

Match layers to the work: a social post may need only Layer 1; a client report needs Layers 1 and 2; a contract summary or safety notice needs all three.

A useful habit: run Layer 1 in a fresh chat. A chat where Claude helped write the draft tends to be gentler on it.
