Lesson 1: The Test Plan – Normal, Edge, and Wrong Inputs

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Write test cases for each main flow.
  • Include edge and wrong-input cases.
  • Run tests on desktop and phone and log results.

Lesson Content

For each main flow, write three kinds of tests:

  • Normal: a typical customer places a typical order.
  • Edge: limits – the last pickup day, the maximum quantity, a very long name, a large photo.
  • Wrong input: missing fields, letters in a phone number, a past date, double-clicking submit.

Run every test on a computer and a phone. Log: test, expected result, actual result, pass or fail.
