Data, Logins, Security, and Privacy for No-Code Apps
Lesson 4: Privacy Notices, Terms, and Honest Disclosure
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Draft a plain-language privacy notice.
- List services that process user data.
- Decide when to get legal review.
Lesson Content
A basic privacy notice says: what data you collect, why, who it is shared with (your builder, hosting, email, payment, and AI services), how long you keep it, how users can ask for access or deletion, and how to contact you.
AI features: if your app sends user content to an AI service, say so. Do not claim data is "never shared" if a third-party service processes it.
An AI assistant can help draft a notice, but it is not legal advice. For public apps, paid apps, or sensitive data, have a qualified professional review it.
