Building by Chatting Without Burning Credits

Lesson 4: Versions, Rollback, and Safe Experiments

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Find version history in their builder.
  • Roll back to a working version.
  • Make a safe copy before risky changes.

Lesson Content

Most builders keep a history of versions. Rolling back usually costs fewer credits than asking the AI to undo a messy change.

Habits:

  • Note the last good version in your build log after each passing stage test.
  • Before risky changes (logins, payments, big redesigns), save a checkpoint or copy the project; builders that connect to GitHub can use a branch.
  • After rollback, rewrite the request more specifically.
