Writing the App Brief – The Credit Saver
Lesson 1: Users, Problem, and What Success Looks Like
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Name each type of user and what they need.
- State the problem in one sentence.
- Write one measurable success sign.
Lesson Content
Start the brief with three short sections:
- Users: each type of person and what they need. Example: "Customers – request a cleanup quote. Staff – see and update requests. Owner – see totals."
- Problem: one sentence about what is wrong today. "Quote requests arrive by text, email, and voicemail, and some get lost."
- Success sign: something you can measure. "No lost requests in a month; replies within one business day."
