AI systems need ways to represent the world. Sometimes that representation is a table of features. Sometimes it is a set of rules. Sometimes it is a network of entities and relationships: people, places, documents, products, tasks, permissions, dates, claims, and evidence.

Structured knowledge helps humans and systems ask better questions. It also creates responsibility. If an AI system affects access, money, education, work, safety, privacy, or reputation, someone must be able to review how the decision was made and whether people are treated fairly.

The human check is not a weakness. It is part of professional AI use. Students should know when to ask: Who is affected? What data was used? What assumptions were made? What could go wrong? How can a person appeal, correct, or review the result?
