- Write command-style requests with verb, source, format, and limit.
- Write fallbacks when features are unavailable.
Lesson Content
Copilot "commands" come in several forms:
- Natural-language requests: "Summarize this thread in five bullets."
- In-app actions: Copilot buttons and panes in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- File and people references: in work Copilot Chat you can often reference a specific file, meeting, or person (for example with a "/" mention) to scope the answer.
- Saved prompts: tested prompts saved for reuse.
Command style: verb, source, format, limit. "Summarize /Q3 Budget.xlsx: top three changes, in three bullets."
