Lesson Content
In Gemini, "commands" come in three forms:
- Natural-language requests: "Summarize this Doc in five bullets." Works everywhere.
- Workspace actions: in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Drive, the Gemini side panel can summarize, draft, or rewrite what you are working on. Availability depends on your plan or Workspace account.
- Gems: saved instructions that act like a reusable command for a recurring task.
Command style: start with a verb, name the input, the format, and a limit. "Draft a reply to this email confirming Tuesday, under 60 words." "Create a table of these expenses by category."
When something is missing, write a fallback in plain words: describe what the feature would have done.
