AI Verification Basics – Checking Answers Before You Trust Them

Lesson 2: Applied Free AI Foundations Command Scenarios

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Run two command scenarios and compare the results.
  • Improve a command after inspecting the first output.
  • Save evidence showing the command created something usable.

Lesson Content

A good verification prompt asks for assumptions, source needs, counterexamples, and a confidence note. The human still checks the source and decides what can be used.

Student task scenario 1: Generate a short answer about an AI product feature and identify verification needs.

Student task scenario 2: Check one claim manually and update the answer.

Troubleshooting: When a command creates polished but inaccurate output, switch from creation mode to review mode. Ask it to list assumptions, uncertain claims, missing inputs, and risks. When media or file tools are involved, confirm licensing, export format, accessibility, and brand constraints before publication.

Quality Rubric:

  • Each scenario has a concrete input and output.
  • The student keeps the first output and revised output for comparison.
  • The student can explain which command pattern worked best and why.
  • The workflow includes a privacy and verification checkpoint.
