Claude Command Workflows – Projects, Artifacts, and Claude Code Direction
Lesson 2: Applied Command Scenarios – Projects, Artifacts, and Code Handoffs
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Run a Project-and-Artifact scenario from source material to reviewed draft.
- Write a Claude Code direction prompt with scope, forbidden areas, and tests.
- Improve a command after inspecting the first output.
Lesson Content
Scenario 1: Project plus Artifact. Put stable material (audience notes, style rules, the source document) in a Project. Ask for a bounded Artifact. Then switch to review mode: "List assumptions, unsupported claims, and missing steps in this Artifact." Revise once.
Scenario 2: Claude Code direction. Describe the symptom, the expected behavior, the files or folders in scope, what must not be touched, the test command, and the handoff you want: "files changed, commands run, results, remaining risks." For risky work, add "propose a plan first and wait."
The improvement loop for both: inspect the first output, name the one biggest problem, and adjust the command to prevent it next time.
