Build a Personal AI Workflow Kit
Lesson 1: Choose the Right Workflows
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Rank tasks by repeat frequency and business value.
- Avoid high-risk tasks that need professional judgment.
- Choose one workflow to systematize first.
Lesson Content
The best first AI workflows are repeated, low-to-medium risk, and easy to review. Good candidates include customer replies, meeting summaries, blog outlines, social posts, internal checklists, vendor comparisons, and first-draft SOPs.
Avoid using AI as the final decision-maker for legal, medical, financial, employment, or safety-critical matters. AI can help draft questions, organize information, and prepare review materials, but qualified humans must approve high-stakes decisions.
Use this scoring method:
Frequency: How often do you do it?
Value: How much time or money could better execution save?
Reviewability: Can a person quickly check the output?
Risk: What happens if the AI is wrong?
Start with high-frequency, high-value, easy-to-review, lower-risk tasks.
