Technical delivery specifications.

AI-generated video must meet the same technical specifications as any delivered video: correct resolution, frame rate, color space, codec, and file format for the distribution platform. Runway's export options may not match all delivery specifications – additional export/transcode steps outside Runway may be necessary for final delivery. Verify current Runway export capabilities and any additional processing needed for specific delivery targets.

Setting client expectations for AI content.

Clients who haven't worked with AI-generated video may have unrealistic expectations in either direction – overestimating current AI capabilities or underestimating what's achievable. Setting accurate expectations upfront (what AI generation does well, what its current limitations are, how revision works for AI content) prevents disappointment and unnecessary revision cycles from expectations mismatched with reality.

Handling revision requests for AI-generated work.

AI revision workflow differs from traditional production revision: some changes (color grade, pacing, clip selection) are addressed in the video edit as usual; others (a specific visual element that needs changing) may require returning to Runway for regeneration with modified prompts, which is not guaranteed to produce the specific requested result. Being clear with clients that AI regeneration has inherent variability – and that a requested specific visual change may take multiple generation attempts – sets accurate revision expectations.

Client relationship management for AI work.

Transparency about AI's role in the production process is appropriate for professional client relationships – clients should know what is AI-generated in their deliverable, particularly if they have content policies, platform requirements, or disclosure obligations that depend on production method. This is also an opportunity to explain the efficiency and creative exploration benefits that AI enables in the work.
