Image-to-Video and Video Extension
Lesson 4: Image-to-Video Project – Animate a Product Still
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Prepare a still image that animates well.
- Direct motion so the product stays accurate.
- Extend and review a clip for product accuracy.
Lesson Content
Image-to-video starts from your exact image, which makes it the best path for product accuracy. Good starting images have a clear subject, room around the edges for camera movement, and no tiny text that will warp.
Motion direction should be modest: "slow orbit," "gentle push-in," "steam rises," "leaves sway." Big actions (a person picking up the product) are where shapes melt.
Accuracy check: compare the last frame with the original photo. Logos, colors, buttons, and proportions should match. If they drift, shorten the clip or reduce motion.
