Advanced Generation and Production with Pika
Lesson 3: Professional Client Integration
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Set accurate client expectations for AI video generation outputs
- Deliver AI-generated video in appropriate formats for professional use
- Structure a client review process suited to AI generation variability
- Handle revision requests for AI-generated content professionally
Lesson Content
Accurate client expectation setting.
Professional integration starts with accurate expectation setting: AI video generation produces outputs that vary in quality and require iteration – setting client expectations for this process (rather than implying a single-attempt guarantee) prevents disappointment and misalignment. Describe the generation and selection process, the typical number of iterations, and the quality review before delivery.
Professional delivery formats.
Deliver AI-generated content in the format the client's downstream workflow requires – not just in Pika's default download format. Verify the client's required delivery format (codec, resolution, frame rate, container) before production and ensure the Pika output can meet those specifications or be converted to meet them through post-processing.
Structuring client review for AI generation.
Client review of AI-generated content should be structured to account for generation variability: present curated selections (the best generations, not all of them), clearly communicate what is deliverable and what is aspirational, and build in a revision round that accounts for the iterative nature of AI generation. Structuring this into the client engagement avoids surprise revision rounds mid-project.
Handling revision requests.
When a client requests changes to AI-generated content: identify specifically what needs to change (content, style, motion, element); assess whether the change is addressable through Modify Region, Pikaffect, or prompt refinement; or whether it requires full regeneration; communicate clearly what is achievable and on what timeline. AI generation revisions are not instantaneous if they require significant prompt rework or multiple iterations.
