Content Creation Workflows with Pika
Lesson 1: Content Series Planning and Prompt Asset Management
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Develop a content series plan with consistent production parameters
- Create a prompt asset library for series production
- Document generation results for cross-session reference
- Build a review structure for selecting across multiple generations
Lesson Content
Planning a content series before generating.
Efficient series production starts with planning: what is the content series goal, how many clips will be produced, what is the consistent aesthetic (style, mood, color), what subjects or themes vary across clips, and what is the production schedule. Answering these before starting generation prevents mid-series rework and style drift.
Prompt asset libraries.
A prompt asset library stores the reusable components of a series prompt: the invariant style descriptor set, consistent quality modifiers, standard negative prompts, and camera direction language. Subject-specific content varies per clip while the library components remain constant – assembled into each clip's full prompt from the library. Document the library as a written reference (not just in memory) for cross-session and team use.
Generation documentation.
Document generation results: what prompt produced what output, what variations were tried, which generations were selected and which were not, and what issues were encountered. This documentation is useful for both the current series (informing iteration strategy) and future series (building institutional knowledge about what works for specific content types).
Review and selection structure.
Generate multiple variations for each clip, then review and select systematically rather than stopping at the first acceptable result. A simple selection structure: generate 3-5 variations, mark each as "strong / acceptable / discard," select the best, document what made it the strongest. This produces better final selections than ad-hoc review.
