Lesson Content

Account basics.

After account creation, configure notification preferences and review any workspace settings applicable to your usage context. For team or organizational use, check any workspace or collaboration settings available at your subscription tier. Verify current account configuration options at pika.art.

Subscription and credit model.

Pika uses a subscription model with generation limits or credits metered per generation based on the tier. Different subscription tiers provide different generation volumes, quality settings, and feature access (e.g., access to certain Pikaffects or longer clip generation). Verify current tier options and what each includes at pika.art before committing to a subscription appropriate for your intended production volume.

Completing a first generation.

A first generation workflow: enter a simple text prompt (descriptive, specific), review any available settings without over-configuring them for a first attempt, initiate generation, wait for completion, review the result, and download. This end-to-end first run builds workflow familiarity before adding complexity.

Evaluating first results.

First generations often reveal things about how the platform works that descriptions don't capture – how the style of output differs from other tools, how prompts are interpreted, how long generation takes. Treat the first few generations as learning iterations, not production deliverables.
