Parameters and Technical Controls

Lesson 4: Parameters Project – A Parameter Test Sheet

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Run controlled tests that change one parameter at a time.
  • Record the visual effect of each parameter.
  • Use the sheet to choose settings for future projects.

Lesson Content

A parameter test sheet keeps the prompt fixed and changes one parameter:

  • –stylize: low, default, high.
  • –chaos: 0, 25, 60 (variety between the four results).
  • –seed: same seed twice to check reproducibility on your version.
  • –v: current default versus one other available version.
  • –ar: 1:1, 16:9, 9:16 to see composition shifts.

Record observations in plain words: "high stylize = more artistic, less literal."
