Getting Started with Midjourney

Lesson 4: Foundations Project – Your First Curated Image Set

Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Generate a small image set for a real purpose.
  • Curate the best images with clear selection reasons.
  • Save images with prompts and settings for reuse.

Lesson Content

Midjourney rewards curation. A beginner project:

  1. Purpose: for example, three blog header images for a bakery website.
  2. Prompt: subject, setting, style, light, and aspect ratio (--ar 16:9 for headers).
  3. Generate a few rounds; use variations on promising results.
  4. Curate: choose 3 images using purpose fit, quality, and artifact checks (hands, text, odd objects).
  5. Save: image, full prompt with parameters, version, and a one-line selection reason.
