Motion and Video Generation
Lesson 1: Getting Started with Leonardo AI Motion
Lesson Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
- Access the Motion feature in Leonardo AI
- Select an appropriate image for motion animation
- Initiate motion generation and download the result
- Understand what the Motion feature produces and its length/format
Lesson Content
Accessing Motion in Leonardo AI.
The Motion feature is accessed from the Personal Feed or from within the image generation interface – selecting a generated (or uploaded) image and choosing the Motion option. The Motion tool processes the selected image and generates an animated video clip from it. Verify current Motion access and interface workflow at leonardo.ai.
What Motion generates.
Motion produces a short video clip (typically a few seconds) by animating the still image – adding movement to elements in the image, creating subtle camera-like movements, or generating environmental motion (water flowing, vegetation moving, atmospheric elements shifting). The output is typically an MP4 video file that can be downloaded and used in video production.
Basic motion generation settings.
Motion settings typically include motion intensity (how much movement is applied – low for subtle, cinematic-style motion; high for more dramatic movement) and potentially motion type or direction controls. Verify current available settings at leonardo.ai as these evolve with platform updates.
Downloading and using Motion output.
After motion generation, the output video clip is available for download from the generation history. Download in the highest available quality for production use. Motion output can be integrated into video editing tools as any other video clip asset.
